Gingerbread Man Fun!
Maria’s Junior Infants explored the theme of The Gingerbread Man. First, we read the story, then we created gingerbread man art, played bakery role-play, poured and measured ‘gingerbread mixture’ and even got to eat some gingerbread men!! We had an amazing time exploring this theme and earning a tasty treat at the end.

Village Building and House Design
Second class were very busy just before the midterm designing their own houses out of recyclable materials. Afterwards, they came together in groups to build small villages working as: architects, city planners, photographers and road planners. Using their houses, Lego and card they set up the village before using our clever robot cars and special coloured mats to create a road that went through their creation. They did this as part of a table free day and had a great time!

Halloween Slime Time and a Wet Botanic Gardens
2nd Class had a wonderful and wet trip to the Botanic Gardens before the midterm along with much of the school! We managed to get a picture of blue sky between the pouring rain. On our dress up day we also had great fun doing a science experiment to make spooky slime! We somehow made very little mess, which was the greatest surprise of the day!
