Parent Teacher Association

Parents as Partners in Education

The Parent Association was established in February 2016 and changed to a Parent Teacher Association in September 2018. The PTA have organised many events for the children and parents. Money raised has provided additional resources for the children. The Principal, staff and Board of Management are very appreciative of the hard work and dedication of all members of the PTA.

All parents or guardians of children attending Malahide/Portmarnock Educate Together National School are members of the Parent Teacher Association.

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association is to provide a structure through which the parents/guardians of children attending Malahide Portmarnock Educate Together National School can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parent Teacher Association work with the Principal, staff and Board of Management to build effective partnership between home and school.

2023/2024 PTA Committee Members

The members of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) elect a committee with a maximum of 14 and a minimum of 6. The parent members of the committee are elected each year at the AGM of the PTA. All parents/guardians of children enrolled in the school are eligible to stand for election to the committee during the AGM. This committee have responsibility for representing the parents of Malahide Portmarnock Educate Together National School and managing the activities of the PTA.The PTA finance the activities of the PTA through fundraising. The MPETNS Parent Teacher Association have created a useful Information Pack about the Malahide/Portmarnock area. 

The welcome pack is a document that was initially created for people who were new to the area but may be useful for anyone looking for local services and amenities.
