THE BIG DIG
A few days ago, our class did an archaeology workshop with Big Dig. We had lots of fun learning about what an archaeologist is and what they do. We then got to learn about artefacts. He people in charge of the workshop let us pass around some of them such as: a cow skull, medieval helmets, necklaces and an obsidian dagger blade.
The people running the dig then gave us shovels, trowels and brushes to dig up fake bones and artefact from small dirt/sandboxes they’d made. Different groups got different things to dig up. One group even dug up a fake bin/toilet from the medieval age.
` All in all, everyone had an amazing time and it was super fun and interesting. I’d definitely do it again!
